Diganth and wife Aindrita Ray, who were asked to appear in front of the Central Crime Branch officials for questioning, have been let off post the interrogation. On September 15, the Central Crime Branch of Bengaluru issued notices to popular Kannada actors Diganth and Aindrita Ray in connection with the ongoing drug racket case. The actors, who were summoned to appear in front of CCB officials at 11am today, were asked to leave after hours of interrogation.

Diganth said, “Investigation is on. We are fully cooperating. We will come back if CCB calls us again.” The news about the drug scandal has left fans of Kannada film industry worried. Earlier today, police sources in Bengaluru revealed that Diganth and Aindrita allegedly consumed drugs. The Bengaluru police got a lead regarding the couple while investigating the ongoing drug menace. The actor-couple was in touch with the accused Rahul, who is currently in custody.

Meanwhile, actors Ragini Dwivedi and Sanjjanaa Galrani who were arrested earlier this month haven’t been let out on bail yet. While Ragini Dwivedi’s bail plea was adjourned to sept 19, Sanjjanaa is likely to be given judicial custody. Both the actors allegedly had links to peddlers and had consumed drugs in parties.

The remand copy also shows messages exchanged between the actors and peddlers. As of now, 10 people have been arrested in connection with the Sandalwood drug racket.
